It’s people who need the fantasy who indulge in it, and people who need the fantasy are usually lacking something. They’re usually a bit too smart, or they’re not Raquel Welch or Dolly Parton—any of the clone varieties of cuties you see on TV.” I know people give Rob Liefeld shit for all the pouches he drew on his characters, but check out Dr. Pockets over here. I’m reminded of the guy I saw at a con panel wearing a plaid flannel shirt over another plaid flannel shirt. I like to think Chris Claremont needed all those pockets to hold his writing cliches.
